World Whiskies Awards 2025 global results announced

The global winners have been revealed in the World Whiskies Awards 2025, as well as the global Icons of Whisky 2025 and two new entrants to the Whisky Magazine Hall of Fame

The global winners of the World Whiskies Awards 2025 have been unveiled in a ceremony at the Waldof Hotel in London which saw members of the whisky industry come together to celebrate excellence in people, places, and spirits.

During the awards ceremony, winners of World's Best were announced in the World Whiskies Awards taste and design categories, the Icons of Whisky 2025 were named, and three inspiring individuals joined the Whisky Magazine Hall of Fame.

The awards ceremony featured talks from awards hosts and sponsors, a drinks reception, live entertainment, and a full three-course meal in the hotel’s stunning Adelphi Suite.

Anita Ujszaszi, awards director, commented: “It’s been another incredible year for the World Whiskies Awards. We’ve tasted some truly exceptional products and it’s been wonderful to hear from passionate whisky producers and industry professionals from all over the world. Congratulations to all our winners and thank you to all entrants. We can’t wait to see you next year!”

The competition named the World's Best whiskies in various categories of the spirit. Winners included the GlenAllachie 12 Years Old, which was named World's Best Single Malt, Three Ships Bourbon Cask for World's Best Blended, and Old Fitzgerald 2024 VVS for World's Best Bourbon.

The Icons of Whisky winners in 2025 included Holyrood Distillery, which was awarded Distiller of the Year, Fettercairn for Campaign Innovator of the Year, and the Heart Cut for Independent Bottler of the Year.
